roots in the tides
This is a collection of three lighting pieces—lamps—that explore the relationship between waves and land through wood and a biomaterial made from fish scales.

what’s the inspiration?
The pieces in this collection arise from the dialogue between wood and biomaterial, between rigidity and fluidity, between what takes root and what moves. Through the technique of veneer bending, the wood is transformed: it ceases to be static and begins to behave like water, taking on gentle curves, undulations, and natural tensions..
The goal is to demonstrate how experimentation with materials (biomaterials) and woodworking can result in unique, contemporary pieces with environmental significance, capable of evoking surprise and creating a sensory connection in interior spaces.
coral shell
Inspired by the elegant spirals of seashells and the swirling movements of ocean currents, this lamp embodies the rhythmic and organic energy of the sea. Its shape mimics the fractal patterns found in nature, evoking a sense of mystery and continuous movement.
coral algae
It is inspired by the shapes of the sea: rising seaweed and undulating corals, none of which are symmetrical, and none of whose fronds are identical to one another.
The wooden structure curves upward as if emerging from the water, creating a fluid movement, while the translucent biomaterial diffuses a soft light.
