cover redesign
After
In this project, the cover of The Art of Lainey was redesigned, exploring illustration as the primary visual language. The intention was to create a more sophisticated, dynamic, and appealing design capable of conveying the story’s personality and connecting more deeply with the book’s narrative universe, without resorting to literal representations.
One of the most interesting challenges in editorial design is redesigning covers that failed to connect with the audience or were perceived as unmemorable. The goal is to go beyond using a just a photo as the primary element and develop conceptual compositions that capture the essence of the book in a more creative and meaningful way.
Before
Design with options for the client
Here the challenge was to design the cover for La Séptima Copia, a psychological science fiction thriller set in a future where it is possible to copy human consciousness. The design was intended to convey mystery, tension, and sophistication through a contemporary editorial style. The client required an extremely meticulous composition. The goal was to create a conceptual, elegant, and memorable cover capable of piquing the reader’s curiosity without revealing the plot.
